The Death of the Church

There was once a moment in time when man feared God. When man knew his creator and feared him. That time has come and gone. I have witnessed more in the past 6 months than I ever thought I would in an entire lifetime. Plague, riots, government over reach. Autonomous zones being formed and calls for a civil war. Americans against Americans, left verses right, conservative verses liberal, good verses evil.

The problem with all this is that it stems from the fall of the church., Oh the church failed a hundred years ago, it has just taken this long for the ripples in the pond to become waves crashing against the shore. And that's what is happening now, the waves are crashing. Louder and louder, heavier and heavier they are smashing against the shore, and the land is beginning to break apart.

The realization of the failings of our ancestors are beginning to take shape. We see democracy failing, communism rising. Free Market struggling, while the socialist tighten the leash. We are dang near in a free fall and there isn't much that can help us. I see the calls for the church to rise up and take the lead, I hear it from the pulpits, the very same pulpits that I might add, that Christ himself would cleanse. Because what we have here, is the failure of the members of the church. The failure of the body of the church.

We haven't held anyone accountable for the outrage, we haven't woken up our neighbors, heck, most Christians are asleep themselves and they don't want to wake up. It is much easier pretending that life is normal while the world burns than to go forward and fight the fires of hell that are burning it. WAKE UP! Sleeping Christians wake up! The gates of hell are marching on us. The armies of satan are at the city walls, as the dark lord of this world wages war against the kingdom of Christ. A kingdom that YOU are supposed to be a soldier of. You have your bow and quiver, you have your sword by your side, but you're propped up against the walls that the enemy is assaulting, and you're asleep.

Will the walls hold, yes. Will the darkness prevail, no. But many a soul will be lost to the eternal flame because you refused your Christian duties. One day at the judgment of God, when you're walking by the damned, head held high at your coming reward, what will you say to your parent, friend, child, or neighbor when they ask why you didn't tell them how to get to where you're going.

I'm filled with a righteous anger over the state of the church over the state of the so called believer. I'm filled with a Godly fury over the laziness of Gods people. YOU were commanded to go unto all the world and preach the gospel. YOU were commanded to pick up your cross and follow Christ. Guess what lazy Christian, going to church on Sunday morning and then disappearing from religion for the rest of the week doesn't make you a Christian, and it doesn't make you saved. It make's you a back biting hypocrite bound for the depths of hell. A lake of fire prepared for the devil and his angels. An eternal punishment.

If you refuse to draw your sword against the true enemies of the world, you are no good to God's army. You are unworthy of the citizenship in the new Jerusalem. If you're not angry at the world, than you're part of the world, and part of the problem. The Bible says we will love the things God loves and hate the things that God hates. This is the sign of a deep walk with God.

Are you saved? Have you experienced a change, in your relationship with sin? IF not. It's never too late. Be the warrior that God has called you to be. Can we save this society? I don't think so. Can we play a huge role in rebuilding it? Absolutely. The choice is yours.
